When I joined d3t I started working on A Knight's quest, an action-adventure game for all consoles and PC developed in Unreal Engine and C++.
During my time working on this title I helped to implement some of the gameplay mechanics, such as some powers and weapons the player obtains during the game. I also worked on the UI, the trophy system and helped to fix bugs of all kinds.
It was the first time that I worked on a medium size game and with a team of +15 people, so during the development I improved both my programming skills and my ability to work as a team. I was also lucky to work with an amazing team of professionals that helped me and taught me a lot during the process.
After the game was released, I started working on the development of an unannounced triple A game for the current and next generation of consoles. My main role in this project was to make the game work in PS5 and implement features specific for the console, such as adding haptic feedback to the game using the PS5 controller. After 11 months in d3t I was promoted from junior to mid level Programmer to reflect the acquired experience and the new responsibilities I had taken during my time at the company, such as managing the implementation of features of the project on my own, deal with company clients or help mentoring the junior members of the team.
