This was the first project I worked in for the 3D Modelling & Animation course at Goldsmiths University of London. The aim of the project was to create an entire static scene in 3D that implied some narrative and told a story just through the models and the composition.

During the development of this small project I had my first experience as 3D modeller and I got familiar with the software used in the videogame industry for modelling and texturing. Every object in the scene was modelled in Maya and textured with Substance Painter 2. Finally, the scene and the lighting was set up in Unity 5.

As it was my first experience with 3D software, I chose to go for a simple and low poly style to keep the scene consistent and focus on the composition and the narrative of the scene rather than going for a more realistic style.

In the scene, the kokeshi dolls are coming out from the portal at the gate to visit and venerate the statue of the goddess.
