When I started working at Saber Interactive Spain I joined the development of WWE 2K Battlegrounds, a a professional wrestling videogame published by 2K Sports. It was released on September 18, 2020.
I joined the team in the last few months of development as a gameplay programmer. My tasks involved implementing new gameplay features, such as adding new weapons to the game or working on new game modes. I also developed some parts of the UI and helped polishing the game by fixing gameplay bugs, which allowed me to learn about many of the different systems that composed the game.
Working in WWE 2K Battlegrounds has strengthen my skills as a gameplay programmer as it has allowed me to learn about the implementation of most of the game systems and learn from the professionals who developed them. It has also reinforced my teamwork and communication skills, and it's the biggest game I have helped to develop until now.
